竹村奈緒美教授現任香港理工大學護理學院助理教授。她於2015年以一級榮譽畢業於香港大學護理學學士學位,並於2022年在同校完成哲學博士學位,獲頒卓越等級(最高評級)。取得學士學位後,竹村教授曾擔任三年臨床護士,紮實的前線經驗堅定了她投身癌症行為醫學研究的決心。
竹村教授專精於非藥物與行為醫學干預,研究重點為晚期癌症患者。她曾主導一項大型隨機對照試驗,研究成果發表於國際頂尖期刊《美國醫學會雜誌·腫瘤學》(JAMA Oncology),並獲得媒體廣泛報導。取得博士學位後,她屢次獲得政府競爭性研究資助,至今已在國際期刊發表逾53篇論文。
竹村教授於癌症研究領域的卓越表現屢獲國際獎項肯定。2024年,她榮獲跨國支持性癌症照護協會(Multinational Association for Supportive Care in Cancer) 頒發的癌症康復研究獎學金;2026年更獲國際行為醫學會頒發的早期職業研究學者獎及最佳干預設計獎。她同時獲邀為倫敦國王學院Cicely Saunders 緩和療護研究所客座助理研究員,現亦擔任《Journal of Cancer Survivorship》與《Supportive Care in Cancer》首位亞洲副主編,以及《BMC Nursing》和《Scientific Reports》編委,在相關領域內具重要學術影響力。
Prof. Naomi Takemura is an Assistant Professor at the School of Nursing, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She received her Bachelor of Nursing degree with First Class Honors in 2015 and her PhD with the highest outstanding ranking in 2022, both from The University of Hong Kong. Following her BNurs graduation, Prof. Takemura worked as a clinical nurse for three years, during which she gained invaluable clinical experience that inspired and strengthened her desire to pursue a research career.
Prof. Takemura’s research work is in the area of non-pharmacological and behavioral medicine interventions, with a special focus on patients with advanced cancer. She has accomplished a large-scale randomized controlled trial comparing the effectiveness of aerobic exercise and Tai Chi on improving multiple bio-physio-psychological outcomes in patients with advanced lung cancer. The research findings have been published in leading international journal, JAMA Oncology and have garnered extensive media coverage. Her research has been consistently supported by competitive external grants.
Prof. Takemura’s dedication to cancer research has been recognised with several international conference awards. She was offered the prestigious MASCC Cancer Survivorship Fellowship in 2024 and received the 2026 Early Career Investigator Award from the Society of Behavioural Medicine. Notably, she was appointed as a Visiting Research Associate at the Cicely Saunders Institute of Palliative Care, King’s College London. Prof. Takemura has published more than 53 articles in esteemed international peer-reviewed journals, including JAMA Oncology, Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics, International Journal of Nursing Studies, Sleep Medicine Reviews, and the Journal of Pain and Symptom Management. She has served as an Associate Editor for Journal of Cancer Survivorship, as well as an Editorial Board Member for BMC Nursing and Scientific Reports, all of which are Q1 journals in their respective categories.
